Airdrie festival to light up the holiday skies
Visiting an illuminated display is a part of the holidays for many families, and one that will be lighting up the night in Airdrie has been billed as being among the largest in Western Canada. Along with the lights there will be other frosty fun, and everyone is welcome.
The Airdrie Festival of Lights, which will be held in Nose Creek Park, is a huge walk-through event. The whole family can enjoy exploring the displays, and a miniature train will transport people of all ages through the site on a preset path.
If they start to get chilly, guests at the function can warm up around one of the open bonfires, and apple cider and hot chocolate will available for $2 a cup. Santa’s Gift Shop will offer various gift-buying choices for the grown-ups, while the kids can find budget-friendly, locally sourced gift ideas in the area that will be set aside just for them.
While admission to the festival is free, donations to help meet the expenses of offering the event will be appreciated. Creative themed signage can help to make this sort of occasion even more festive, and a printing services company's graphic design experts will be able to provide it.
The opening night for this year’s Airdrie Festival of Lights will be December 1, and it will continue on until December 31. It will be set up at 1701 Main Street behind Nose Creek Valley Museum.
