Family Day is celebrated in communities all across Alberta, and an Airdrie rink has a special activity scheduled to mark the occasion.
Plainsmen Arena will be offering families an opportunity to make some memories during its Funky Family Day Skate. Tickets will become available in late January, and they start at $5.00 per person.
The attendees at the celebration will be able to take to the ice, but they must bring their own skates as rentals will not be available. There will be lots of retro touches to the experience, including haze, music and laser lights. Skaters who are age 12 and under will need to wear a CSA (Canadian Standards Association) approved helmet, which are highly recommended for everyone who takes part. All of the usual event safety guidelines will be in place.
A special event may require custom décor, and a printer that offers in house Graphic Design Services will be happy to help. They can also supply materials such as safety waiver Forms, sign-up sheets and other business documents that take care of the "housekeeping" side of hosting such an activity.
