Public photos are being called for to help build the Western Australia Museum as one of the biggest museum redevelopments in the world.
Museum project director, Julie Finch, who took up her role this month, has enthused about the role “people power” has in the project believing it will be critical to the success of the WMA.
Information about the project and encouraging public input could be communicated using the services of a Print company to produce Flyers and Posters. Input has been solicited in public meetings, as well as online. The photos and comments submitted will be mixed in with ideas from museum staff and a design team, the latter of which will be appointed by the end of 2014.
The museum will sit on the site of the Perth Cultural Centre incorporating the existing heritage buildings and will see a gallery space of 8500 square meters, bigger than either Australian Museum or Canberra’s National Museum of Australia.
The first real Signs of the development will be seen this year at Welshpool. A total of $17.5m will be invested in an overhaul of the museum’s storage and research centre. Construction of the museum itself is due to start in 2016, with its doors scheduled to be swung open in 2020 at a cost of $428.3m.
Finch’s previous role was as Bristol Museum and Art Gallery Director. She oversaw the successful launch and operation of the museum and in its first year enticed 750,000 visitors.Get a Free Quote for Signs Get a Free Quote for Posters Get a Free Quote for Print Get a Free Quote for Flyers
