Themed camp scheduled for Bibra Lake youngsters

A day camp themed around the popular Minecraft game has been arranged for the young people of Bibra Lake in October.

Run by MindBuzz, the Minecraft camp will be open to all those interested. Event organisers will supply the laptops needed for the session, and those attending will be able to explore the full scope of the game.

Minecraft was released in November 2009 on PC, and has since enjoyed popularity across many platforms and devices. The environment is a three-dimensional world where players can mine raw material, craft items and build structures in a collaborative fashion.

The game facilitates learning the basics of coding, and participants will have guidance in navigating its many facets. Different levels of knowledge and experience can be accommodated, and the emphasis will be placed on player co-operation. All attending are encouraged to help others where possible.

After the workshop, participants will have free access to further resources, allowing them to increase their expertise and be part of a safe, nurturing environment.

Events for young people of this nature are often be advertised by the use of colourful, eye-catching poster printing.

The Bibra Lake Minecraft Camp will take place on Friday, 4 October, from 9.30 am until 3.30 pm. The venue is the Bibra Lake Community Centre, which can be found at 132 Parkway Road, Bibra Lake.
