Bibra Lake is the venue for a Fun Run that is open to all residents in September, whether running or walking.
The Bibra Lake Fun Run is a popular fitness event in September. It is a community event and is open to all levels of fitness of any age. There is a choice between a six and twelve-kilometre course and the course is suitable for all, including dogs on leads and those pushing prams or in wheelchairs.
As an incentive, there are cash prizes that span the five categories, split by age, plus awards for female and male winners overall. There are also specific cash prizes for schools if they are able to field the greatest number of entries.
As a community project, there will be lots going on, apart from the event itself. Last year, for example, there was a Zumba warm-up, Creative Kids Play, a DJ to play tunes and a free sausage sizzle. Attendees could also watch non-ice versions of curling, and keepers had bought along some reptiles from WA Wildlife for close encounters.
Local Print shops are often used in order to produce advertising for community events.
The Bibra Lake Fun Run is taking place on Sunday 14th September. It is necessary to register in order to have an official time and to be in the running for a prize, although non-registrants are still welcome to join in.
