What's Happening in Bibra Lake, WA…

Free educational talk to take place in Bibra Lake

People residing in and around Bibra Lake have the opportunity to join an educational walk and talk session in September.

For the first time, the Walliabup Wildlife Warriors, in conjunction with Ian Barlow (also known as The Crazy Bushman) are running a free Turtle Tour Walk at the Bibra Lake Reserve.

The night walk at the reserve will highlight the oblong turtles where Ian will be keen to reveal these essential creatures and their behaviour.

Additionally, there will be educational posters, particularly promoting 1 Million Turtles and TurtleSAT, as well as information on the local wetlands history. There will also be hands on activities for children to take part in.

Million Turtles is a community conservation program that seeks to restore and create habitats for turtles, helping to bring wetlands back to life. TurtleSAT is a mapping tool produced by the program, allowing Citizen Scientists to map the whereabouts of freshwater turtles across Australia as the turtles are in serious decline.

Educational posters for visiting members of the public at such events often use local printing services.

The Bibra Lake Turtle Walk and Talk is taking place on Sunday 14th September at 6pm. The venue is the Bibra Lake Reserve, Progress Drive, Perth. Attendees should dress appropriately for the weather. This is a free event.
