Swing dance event to take place in Balcatta
Balcatta is hosting a West Coast Swing (WCS) event just before Christmas, for those with at least some experience of dancing in the genre to enjoy.
The function is for those interested in swing dance, and is to be an event where participants can come together, learn, connect and dance the night away after a mini workshop. Prior to the event, it is possible for attendees to attend a pre-dinner dance at the nearby Seven Mile Bar and Bistro, from 6 pm.
WCS was started by Steve Fitz 25 years ago as a dance community. The Level Up online hub was created to ensure that everyone can stay in touch no matter their location, with access to skills, drills, exercises, workshops and livestreams, as well as past lessons, training guides and the ability to get feedback. This means that students can progress beyond their weekly in-person lesson, should they so wish.

The Perth Workshop and Social Dance is taking place from 7.30 pm until 11.30 pm on Saturday, 20 December. The venue is the Empire Creative Studios, which can be found at 2/15 Halley Road in Balcatta. Tickets cost $20.
