Fans of Bollywood in the Balcatta area can soon attend a vibrant fundraising evening, to include dinner.
Desi Shaadi is a traditional South Asian wedding celebration, featuring flamboyant rituals, vibrant clothing and families gathering together. Raising funds for the Bollywood Dance Studio (BDS), The Big Fat Bollywood Wedding: Dinner Dance Concert has the flavour of Desi Shaadi without the wedding.
BDS is popular in Perth and provides classes for those aged four and above. Founded in 2011 by Maitri, the school now has almost 200 students and provides entertainment services such as workshops and corporate events.
The event starts with a Bollywood Dance Show while an entrée is served at the table. There will be an authentic Indian buffet dinner, Bollywood entertainment and games and prizes. The evening will end with a workshop and an invitation to join the celebration on the dance floor.
The organisers of fundraising events within a community often use Print shops to produce Posters and Banners for advertising in the locality.
Desi Shaadi - The Big Fat Bollywood Wedding: Dinner Dance Concert is taking place on Saturday, 5 September at The Sicilian Club Perth, 1 Fortune Street, Balcatta. Doors will open at 5.15 pm. Tickets cost from $70, with concessions available.
