Residents of Balcatta can join a short workshop next week that presents strategies to help boost resilience and wellbeing.
The Stirling Business Association is hosting a series in 2026 that brings relevant speakers in front of the local business community.
Andrew Trefry will be hosting and looking at ways to protect mental health by considering protective strategies that can be employed daily by all.
Activities that centre around social connection and gratitude will be discussed. Techniques for mindfulness will also be highlighted, and there will be information regarding relevant support services.
Trefry works for Helping Minds, a Perth-based mental health care charity that has been offering free services and education for 50 years. Encompassing the values of Trust, Integrity, Respect, Collaboration and Hope for the population and the carers looking after those that are suffering, the organisation provides support and relief through group activities and counselling.
All age groups are supported, and there is input across schools, workplaces and the community, with early intervention programs available in some areas.
Organisations that provide support may use advertising in the form of brochure printing in order to get a message out within a community.
A Boost Your Wellbeing workshop with Andrew Trefry is taking place on 7 April, from 10 am until 11 am, at the Stirling Business Association, 45 Delawney Street, Balcatta. Tickets cost from $32.
