Only ten minutes from Osborne Park, the West Perth based Prepress Skills Centre are offering limited placements for their 2012 Prepress Software Training Program. The course is designed to teach students skills that will enable them to produce professional documents and prepare them to be sent to a Print company for printing.
The trainers at PSC have over 30 years of experience in the printing industry and provide small class sizes to create opportunities for ‘individual attention’. With one class per week, students will complete the 120 hour course over four months. The course is targeted at those who may already have some desktop publishing and graphic design experience but need to know more about the process of postcard printing, Stationery printing and other Forms of physical printing; however, the only prerequisites for enrolment in the course are a basic understanding of how to use a computer, so newcomers would be welcome too.
By the end of the course students will have gained a thorough understanding of how to develop documents using the Adobe Creative Suite (CS5) software programs of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat. Some of the techniques taught include producing mono press advertisements, spot colour production, understanding CMYK publications, colour theory and image manipulation, masking and retouching.
PSC is a nationally recognised Registered Training Organisation that is also a Certified Adobe Training Provider with Adobe Certified Experts as trainers. The next course begins in early January 2012 and enrolment details can be found on the PSC website.Get a Free Quote for Forms Get a Free Quote for Stationery Get a Free Quote for Print
