Osborne Park office building given the green light

A $93 million office block was approved last month for Osborne Park’s Selby Road, and is certain to become a feature of the suburb.

The Development Assessment Panel came together to access the Rowe Group proposal which is supported by an artist’s rendition which has been produced and promoted with the help of a local Print company.

In total, the company plans to construct three buildings within the property boundary, on a site which is just under 11,000sqm. The development proposal was refined and supported by 21 conditional amendments, approved by Cr Giovanni Italiano. He said:

“It is not far from Stirling train station and it is not far from Scarborough Beach Road.”

The motion was seconded by Cr Rod Willcox, with the remaining five panel members also voting in approval of the project. The three buildings will range from five to 13 stories, which Stephen Shircore, the project’s architect, believes will allow for expansion of future subdivision.

Stringent conditions of approval include the provision of bicycle racks, changing rooms for men and women, and 80 lockers. A high level of drainage and sealing of parking areas was another condition, along with appropriate space for vehicle movement and almost 800 parking spaces. A 10 metre-wide road will also be constructed on the site‘s eastern side.

Conditions for building applications are a significant part of planning, with printing company expertise in the creation of documents and poster printing displays an important consideration for achieving council approval and public awareness.
