Bakers and makers in the Balcatta area may be keen to sign up for the cupcake decorating class in July and learn to decorate like a professional. Print shops are often used locally to produce literature on events happening in the community.
In the piping class with Carli, participants will learn how to make various coloured and flavoured buttercream icings and how to easily fill a piping bag with minimal mess, before discovering how to use a selection of nozzles to end up with beautiful stars, rosettes and more with which to adorn the cakes. As this is a decorating class, the cakes are pre-made and then can be taken home to enjoy at leisure. As well as the cakes, the decorators will take home a recipe booklet and an icing practice sheet. A Facebook group exists so that members can be encouraged, sharing successes (and failures!).
Cake Tinz and Thingz has been around for almost thirty years. As well as running workshops, the store supplies all manner of baking equipment and offers a service to provide beautiful handmade occasion cakes.
