Engineering Holiday Camp to ignite young minds in Balcatta

Youngsters from grades 1 to 7 in the Balcatta will be able to learn about engineering at a holiday camp in April.

The holiday camp is being run by the Perth North branch of Young Australia Engineers, in conjunction with Engineering Camp. Parents and carers often seek activities to entertain school age children during the holidays. Engineering is a popular as STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) subjects rise to prominence in the curriculum.

At the holiday camp, the teachers and innovators are teachers and engineers, either currently working or having recent relevant experience that they are keen to demonstrate. With a wealth of hands-on experience and a passion for the subject, the course teachers will hope to enthuse the youngsters and show them how interesting a career in engineering can be. As a result of being on the course, it is hoped that the youngsters have their curiosity ignited and will have their confidence boosted.
When workshops or holiday camps are planned, sometimes they will include items like instruction leaflets or takeaway leaflets for attendees that can be produced by Stationery printers.

The 2024 Young Engineers Holiday Camp (Autumn) takes place in Balcatta at the Italian Room, West Balcatta Primary School, 215 Cedric Street, Balcatta WA 6021, from 3rd until 4th April, 9am until 3.30pm. One day costs $110, two days costs $200.
