Career options on show at annual expo in Perth

Confusion over which career path to select can be an issue for people of all ages, which is a fact recognised by organisers of the annual Careers Expo in

Western Australia.

The four-day event brings together almost 100 exhibitors from a wide range of professions, to help people aged 16 to 60 decide on a career path and get started. Employers, training providers, government departments, TAFEs and universities will be represented.

The Expo, to be held at the Perth Convention Exhibition Centre, will include two days dedicated to student groups. Year 10 and 12 students from nearby Osborne Park and surrounding metropolitan areas are considered to be key candidates to attend the event, which organisers say has the potential to put them on the right track at a critical time in their development.

Exhibitors participating in the 2014 Careers Expo are from throughout the nation and cover a wide range of career paths, including hotel management, teaching, beauty therapy, films, technology, drama, computers, brick and block laying, fitness, management, swimming, construction, and parks and wildlife.

By providing their expertise and knowledge at the event over the past 26 years, exhibitors have been educating, entertaining and informing Western Australians eager to learn more about their chosen professions.

Printing companies have been busy preparing information for schools whose students are attending the Expo, which is to be held from 15th-18th May.
