Stirling Business Centre will be holding a workshop later this month that will help business owners to discover and utilise video.
In this four-part workshop, business owners will learn how to use video to market their business. As part of the ASBAS Digital Solutions Program, the workshop is presented by Business Station and AusIndustry.
The workshop will be run by Reg Sorell and is made up of theory and practice lessons. Sorell has worked in television for 10 years, with 6,000 hours as a studio director for UK television. He has turned his passion into helping businesses take advantage of the insatiable appetite consumers have for engaging digital content.
Part one of the workshop includes lessons about purpose, scripting and planning, and video shoot prep and will touch on basic equipment lists, what to expect on shoot day and preparing for the edit. The second part of the workshop will include basic camera operation, how to capture good sound, basic lighting, how to shoot a scenes and interviews.
Not only will participants come away with basic video production knowledge, they’ll be in good stead for the next workshop DIY Video Production 201. To enhance traditional marketing techniques such as poster printing, Sorell believes that video is one of the quickest ways to build a relationship with the target audience.
The workshop starts on Wednesday 11th March from 9:30am until 11:30am at the Stirling Business Centre in Balcatta. Tickets are $35.75 and participants can register through Eventbrite.
