More than 130 business leaders from Balcatta and throughout the City of Stirling were in attendance at this year’s Mayoral Business Breakfast.
A much anticipated event on business Calendars in the area, the event was once again deemed a great success by Mayor Giovanni Italiano.
As was the case last year the breakfast had a special theme. Last year it was `Open for Business’ and this year `It’s All Happening’, which was embraced by all attendees who also welcomed addresses from the Mayor, Western Australia Deputy Premier Liza Harvey and Kieran Kinsella, Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority CEO.
Mayor Italiano said the breakfast gave the eclectic mix of business leaders from throughout the community an insight into the many local opportunities that existed within what he described as booming City of Stirling.
He added that while other Local Government areas within Perth were affected by the recent mining sector downturn, activity in Stirling could not be busier.
The mayor cited development applications totally $1.47 billion in the past year across the City as indicative of the great interest in the area and said there were also many opportunities for businesses to establish new outlets and holdings.
The development has been met with publics works valued at more than $100 million in Scarborough as part of a joint venture between Council, the MRA and the State Government.
Attendees also took home Brochures that listed the many business opportunities currently available in the City.
