Balcatta area to enjoy orchestral evening

A musical extravaganza featuring a collaboration between an iconic Australian band and an accomplished orchestra is happening in Perth this summer.

Music enthusiasts in Balcatta will get the opportunity to enjoy a unique experience at nearby Perth Concert Hall later this year. December will see Australian music legends The Cat Empire take to the stage with the West Australian Symphony Orchestra led by esteemed conductor, Vanessa Scammell. The beloved band are bringing a set-list packed with their classic tracks, which have been reinvented with orchestral arrangements.

Venues that host classical concerts often work with respected Graphic Design Services to create plush programmes that ticket holders can keep as a memento of their experience.

Along with fan favourites, The Cat Empire will also perform brand-new material with the orchestra’s virtuosos. These innovative musical pieces will combine the group’s unique style with international influences like Spanish flamenco, Brazilian, Seychellois Creole and Afro-Cuban.

The upcoming show in Perth will also feature some of the world’s leading flamenco artists, providing skilful dance displays to accompany the music.

The Cat Empire will perform live with the West Australian Symphony Orchestra at Perth Concert Hall on Thursday, 5, Friday, 6 and Saturday, 7 December. The Thursday and Friday shows have a start time of 7:30 pm, and the Saturday show has a start time of 2 pm.

All shows have a 25-minute interval, and the venue is situated at 158 Terrace Road in Perth.
