Balcatta residents are surrounded by artistic endeavours for the 2016 Summerset Arts Festival.
Being held for the eighth consecutive year, the festival is an initiative of the City of Stirling and provides 17 days of affordable and free entertainment for all ages.
According to organisers, Catalogues of events are transforming entire neighbourhoods, including buildings and parks, into hubs of activity, creative spaces and pop-up venues.
He said attendances were expected to surpass 40,000 people at the more than 50 scheduled events being held in Scarborough, Balcatta and throughout the City of Stirling.
The festival, which always produces great photographs for albums and Postcards, is not only celebrating Stirling’s unique culture, heritage, diversity and lifestyle, but also providing great fun and enjoyment for all ages, according to the spokesman.
The pop-up venue Sunset Veranda, which has won many awards, has returned to provide entertainment as an official venue of Fringe World, along with children’s activities, art, theatre, circus, music and comedy.
Also featured at this year’s Summerset Arts Festival are events including Glow Ride, Sunset Wine, and Sensational String Stories to name a few, according to the spokesman.
Western Australia performers will combine with top acts from around Australia to present the popular Summerset Concert to wrap up the final weekend of celebrations for 2016, which concludes on February 7.
