On the evening, each audience member receives a rose. During the show, they can throw the rose on stage, shouting ‘Smells Like a Song’, which is the cue for the players to sing a showstopper, of any genre or style, all accompanied by a live musician. Musical mayhem ensues, interspersed with comedy, theatre and improvisation. Every performance will be different, and Theatre Press writes of the event that it is:
“a show that you could see over and over again.”
Impro Melbourne is the oldest improvised theatre company in the area and continually strives to be innovative and fresh. It also attracts international instructors.
