Electronic music fans around West Melbourne can enjoy an evening in the company of popular producers of the genre.
BICEP is a duo consisting of Matt McBriar and Andy Ferguson. Belfast-born childhood friends, they pair had a blog called Feel My Bicep where the bonded over their love of forgotten Chicago house, Detroit techno and Italo disco. The pair are now London-based. BICEP began in 2009 as a DJ and production pairing, releasing tracks on their own label. Their self-tiled debut album in 2017 got to number 20 in the UK Albums Chart. The second album, Isles, reached number 2 on the chart in 2021.
During the pandemic, BICEP attracted many new fans as they broadcast ticketed shows over five time zones, with the NME calling it innovative and boundary-pushing.
This evening at the Underpass is their second in the city in 2026. In a much-anticipated show, the duo will be presenting a stripped-back DJ set for the dancefloor. Support will include 1-800 GIRLS, Pretty Girl (DJ) and Angusand167others.
