Local artist to sing in West Melbourne

Those in the West Melbourne area who like to support local talent can share an evening in the company of a local singer.

Intimate Nights is a venture set up at the Angry Dog in order to increase exposure for local artists by giving them opportunities to perform and earn money at a ticketed gig. Organised by Liezyl Artist Management, the dimly lit warehouse provides an acoustic stage for talent.

Valentine Chalmers is one such artist. She has a strong presence and a powerful voice that lends itself to soul music. Performing covers from acts such as Celine Dion, she will entrance an audience with her emotive performance. She generally covers music in the genre of pop, contemporary R & B and soul.

Chalmers has been a guest on the Real Talk with Labzy podcast in August, where she discussed her singing career to date, referring to the fact that she felt always destined to be a singer. Her great grandmother was an opera singer, and always had a desire to be on stage and entertaining.

Local artists might use nearby printing services to create flyer printing in order to advertise gigs.

Intimate Nights with Valentine Chalmers will take place on Saturday 17th October, from 7pm until 11pm. The venue is The Angry Dog, 435 Spencer Street, West Melbourne, VIC 3003. Tickets cost $27.78.
