West Melbourne to host iconic concert

A famous Bob Dylan concert will soon be faithfully recreated at one of West Melbourne’s most acclaimed live music venues.

Bob Dylan devotees won’t want to miss a rare musical experience coming to West Melbourne in autumn. The inner-city suburb of the capital will be graced by talented singer-songwriter Cat Power in March when she takes to the stage of Festival Hall.

Venues of every shape and size often count on high-quality poster printing services to showcase the concerts and productions they put on.

Cat Power will recreate the transformative Dylan set that saw him switch from acoustic to electric guitar. In 1966, the renowned artist performed in the Royal Albert Hall and the Manchester Free Trade Hall in the UK, but also in Melbourne’s Festival Hall. Now, the esteemed venue will echo again with the powerful music of Dylan that surprised folk purists and reportedly changed the course of rock and roll.

Buck Meek of Big Thief and his band will join Cat Power on stage at the concert to play classic Dylan numbers like ‘Just Like Tom Thumb’s Blues’, ‘It’s All Over Now, Baby Blue’ and ‘Just Like A Woman’.

Cat Power will perform live at the Festival Hall on Thursday, March 6. The concert will commence at 6.30 pm and finishes at 7.30 pm, and the venue is based at 300 Dudley Street in West Melbourne.
