Adventure-lovers in West Melbourne are excited ahead of the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour, which is coming to Melbourne in May.
This event is a vibrant celebration of the world of mountaineering and adventure sports, and will showcase the most exciting short films from runners, mountain bikers, explorers, skiers, climbers and paddlers across the world.
The event follows the largest mountain festival in the world, the Banff Mountain Festival, which is held yearly in Banff, Canada. During this festival, over 300 of the best films in mountain exploration, sport, culture, adventure and environment are shown, before a selection of the award winners and audience favourites tour the world.
The Australian festival will feature two-and-a-half hours of arresting short films shot in some of the world’s most remote spaces, with incredibly moving cinematography, insightful storylines, and exciting, thrilling action sequences.
Organisers of similar cultural events can use graphic design to create contemporary, compelling advertising that effectively broadcasts their offerings and draws interest.
The Melbourne Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025, at The Capitol, 113 Swanston St, Melbourne, VIC, 3000. The screening will begin at 7:00PM and will conclude at 10:00PM. Seating will not be allocated, so attendees are asked to come early to secure the best seats. Tickets are $32 for adults, $24 for children, and $29 per person for a group of 10 or more.
