Creative juices will soon flow through the streets of central, south and West Melbourne, Victoria, when some of the world’s finest companies and artists get together for the upcoming Melbourne Festival.
Renowned as the nation’s flagship international event, the celebration has developed into one of the world’s leading multi-arts showcases.
Visitors will be provided with a feast of music, dance, visual arts, theatre, outdoor and multimedia events from all levels of performers, artists and companies.
Top artists from around the world will entertain audiences at venues in and around the city, stretching from Melbourne’s Art Centre to Monash University at Clayton.
The program will include concerts by highly successful performers such as Irish-American group The Gloaming and Greek singer/songwriter Mihalis Hatzigiannis, who is set to team up with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.
Circus combines with the classics when internationally renowned Circa presents a rare performance with French string group the Debussy Quartet, while the art of dance will be presented by the Trisha Brown Dance Company.
Flyer printing, combined with the distribution of program guides to key city locations, will assist residents and visitors in locating the events of their choice throughout the festival, which will be held from October 10th to 26th.
Those booking a ticket to the Melbourne Festival will also be in the running to win a trip to New York.
