Social justice workshop heads to West Melbourne

Facilitated by experienced campaigners James Whelan and Adele Neale, the Campaign Strategy for Community Organisers workshop teaches participants to fully realise their social justice goals.

Hosted by the Change Agency (tCA) and Pasifika, the workshop teaches community-minded organisations and campaigners how to define their objectives, choose the right target and focus, how to translate the social and political constructs they work within, how to harness previously effective campaign strategies and how to assess political opportunities.

The interactive workshop runs across two-days and provides participants with the opportunity to meet and network with other social justice campaigners.

At the end of the workshop, participants will receive their own copy of the newest edition of the Campaign Strategy Training Guide. Large Booklets such as this require professional printing services. Workshops are more effective with handouts and printed information that participants can take home and reference when needed.

The Change Agency advises that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander campaigners are particularly encouraged to participate in not only the March workshop but also its mentorship program, too. However, places are limited.

The workshop will be held at Kensington Town Hall, located at 30-34 Bellair Street in west Melbourne on Friday 27th March and Saturday 28th March, starting and 9am until 5pm. Registration is essential and can be done through Eventbrite. Tickets cost between $280 and $510.
