Location for new restaurant is a mystery for now

A restaurant is about to be opened somewhere in Melbourne, but there has been no official confirmation of where.

The food outlet will serve Thai cuisine and shall be called Long Chim. However, the owner, David Thompson, has played his cards close to his chest in relation to the location of the restaurant.

West Melbourne is a suburb close to the centre of the city, and it has been rumoured that the Long Chim in Melbourne will be situated in a central location. Another restaurant under the same name has recently opened in Western Australia, while the consortium behind the restaurants has reportedly been successful with food critics in Singapore. Adrian Fini may be connected to the restaurant chain and has been asked about potential locations within Melbourne, but Fini told The Australian:

“I am not aware of any site for Long Chim in Melbourne at present.”

Nonetheless, Fini’s denial has not dampened speculation about where the new restaurant will be based. A property entrepreneur with a Perth connection, Fini has a link with the same restaurant chain in Sydney, where an announcement about the location of an eatery confirmed the truth of earlier rumours.

When Thompson wants to engage in promotional activity and has cleared up the geographical mystery, his team could order Letterheads from West Melbourne.
