A restaurant based in central Melbourne has unveiled a special seasonal menu inspired by European cuisine.
Gasthaus on Queen is a much-loved Austrian restaurant in the heart of the coastal capital. Now it is inviting diners from West Melbourne and other nearby suburbs to enjoy the season of good will by sampling a special à la carte menu featuring a festive theme.

The special Christmas menu at Gasthaus on Queen has been lovingly planned and prepared and boasts festive specialities served in Austria and Germany.
Those taking advantage of the festive offering can enjoy a host of traditional delights including starters like truffled celeriac soup and main courses like Honey glazed kassler and Poached Barramundi.
The grilled scotch fillet dish "Zwiebelrostbraten", will be served with shallot jus, roast baby potatoes, crispy onions and green beans infused with bacon while "Weihnachts Ripperl" features pork ribs glazed with cinnamon and honey glaze pork ribs and arrives with dark beer gravy and roasted sweet potato dressed in sour cream.
The Christmas à la carte menu will be available at Gasthaus on Queen from Monday, the 25th of November to Saturday, the 21st of December. The Austrian restaurant is situated at 211 Queen Street in Melbourne.
