Dora the Explorer set to bring adventure to Melbourne

Dora the Explorer is a firm favourite among children and now her fans in Melbourne have the chance to see the young adventurer live.

The television character will be on stage at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre later this month with a brand new stage show called Dora’s Pirate Adventure.

Dora will be joined in the show by her companions Diego and Boots the Monkey as they head off to find the Pirate Piggies and search for missing treasure. Along the way, the explorers will need to overcome a number of obstacles with help from their friends in the audience.

Other characters from the television show, including Map and Swiper the fox, will also feature in the live event.

The adventure is bound to keep children on the edge of their seats, but adults will probably find their fingers tapping along to the catchy tunes as well.

Some of the songs featured in the television show will be performed during the stage version, and many of Dora’s signature moves will have the audience on their feet joining in.

The show would make a perfect school holiday treat for children from West Melbourne and parents might consider buying some of the merchandise provided by Print companies, such as a poster of Dora and her friends as a special reminder of the day.

Dora’s Pirate Adventure will take place on Tuesday September 24 and Wednesday September 25. There is just one show on Tuesday at 4:30pm, but three shows on Wednesday at 10.30am, 1.30pm and 4.30pm. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster.
