Bookworms in the Thornbury area can soon show off their knowledge by attending a quiz in October.
In 2025, the show was a sell-out. This year, in its new home of the Thornbury Theatre and hosted by the author and comedian Matthew Hardy, the panellists will include Melissa Leong (MasterChef judge), Kate Langbroek (comedian, radio and television presenter), Mary Coustas (comedian and actress) and Joel Creasey (comedy and radio star). These luminaries will be joined by the award-winning bookseller, Erica Made, from the Readings book shops.
The show itself takes the form of a lively multi-media quiz with music. There are interactive elements, and the audience can air their superior knowledge against the panellists. Event organisers are hoping that all will have fun, sharing the light-hearted spirit of the competition with laughter and community. The knowledge of Books and authors, both classic and new, will form the basis of the widely anticipated event.
