Artificial Intelligence beginners class set for Thornbury

Those living in or near Thornbury who fancy a go at learning some simple AI to help in everyday tasks can learn the basics in February.

The course at the Span Community House is split over four weeks, with each week covering a different topic. These include first steps with AI (trying it out and seeing the scope), using it in earnest and learning to check the facts, understanding how to use questions with clarity and how to stay safe and use AI responsibly (spotting online scams and using AI with less waste).

Span Community House is a much-used community hub, where a diversity of activities can be learned and shared, as well as help in sustainability and support and skills development programs. Courses include items such as Art for all Abilities, Creative Writing and Gentle Exercise.

Local printing services are often used to produce information in particular formats, such as large Print Booklets, which might accompany courses that are information-heavy.

The Community AI Lab is taking place on four weeks, starting on Tuesday 17th February, from 7pm until 8pm. The venue is the Span Community House, 64 Clyde Street, Thornbury VIC 3071.
