Live music fans to be treated in Thornbury

Those living in the Thornbury vicinity who like to support live music events might wish to buy tickets for an evening at ShopFront740.

Thanks for Coming, a solo songwriting and singing project by Rachel Brown, who hails from Brooklyn, will be performing. Originally from Chicago, Brown additionally happens to be the vocalist from the indie band Water from Your Eyes and has been writing and recording music for over 10 years.

ShopFront740 is a busy pop-up space and artist-run gallery in the middle of the town. The organisers are keen for the space to host a varied program of events to help foster creativity and connections within the community. Shotkickers, which is a live music venue, is next door.

At ShopFront740, the performance of Thanks for Coming will likely include tracks from the recent releases entitled “The IRS No Longer Has My Address, And Neither Do I” and “29 Down”.

The performance of Thanks for Coming and the support acts on the evening are presented by Sore Horse, which is a Melbourne-based DIY Australian Music Industry Community.
