Children-friendly concert set for Shepparton

Families that are fans of live music and singing events in the Shepparton area can take advantage of a performance that especially caters for those families and carers with young children.

The cushion concert is an initiative whereby the venue is decked out with rugs and cushions so that it is an enticing and comfortable environment for young children to sit or lie down. The function room is equipped for access by prams and pushchairs so it is easy for parents, grandparents and carers to come along and be with their young charges in a less formal setting than a traditional concert. It is also less daunting for the artist than it can be when playing on a large stage.

As well as a vocalist, Ree Peric is a producer, visual artist and programmer, living in Shepparton since 2014, although originally born in Uganda. Peric’s passion is working with the community to form creative outlets through art and music.

Venues that host musical events will often advertise them within the community by making use of local printing services.

The September Cushion Concert with Ree Peric is taking place on Friday 5th September, from 10.30 until 11am. The venue is Riverlinks Eastbank, 70 Welsford Street, Shepparton. Tickets cost $10 per child (minimum age six), with the accompanying adult going free.
