The program for Shepparton’s two-week Art Festival has been announced. Venues and spaces across the town and in the surrounding area are set to become alive with dance performances, comedy shows, exhibitions, art, food and poetry.
The festival has been the annual highlight for the local creative community and beyond for the past 27 years. It commissions, develops and presents a diverse program and provides a platform for artists from all walks of life
Festivals like this often rely on poster printing to promote the event, as these large, colourful printed sheets can be put up in public places, shops and cafes to grab the attention of passersby.
The festival is set to start at Shepparton Brewery with a unique walking tour of the city. The first stop will be Shepparton Festival HQ, which organisers are explaining will acknowledge and pay respects to the First Peoples of the land, followed by dancing and singing by Yorta Yorta artists.
Following this, attendees will have the chance to visit a host of eclectic art installations including technical drawings and an exhibition of local artists. At the end of the evening, there will be pizza, drinks and live music at Casablanca Pizza & Pasta.
