Wordsmiths and those with a creative, literary ear living in the Prahran area may wish to turn up for the book launch of FLOAT at Midnight in Paris next week.
FLOAT is an anthology crafted by writers from Australia, Europe and the United States. All writers have been part of the literary organisations The Provocative Inklings or Words of a Feather, where they would have attended events and workshops over the years.
The FLOAT anthology will include short stories, poetry and creative non-fiction, all crafted by 24 emerging writers.
Melbourne-based Provocative Inklings is a writing collective, aiming to share writings and thus be inspirational towards would-be writers. Words of a Feather, also Melbourne-based, is led by Amy Han, and is based both in the studio and online, offering workshops to writers of all ages.
Local Print shops are the obvious choice to print materials, such as those used for the Books that will be available to buy by interested parties at the launch of FLOAT.
The Book Launch – FLOAT: an Anthology of New Writings from Melbourne and Beyond is taking place on Saturday, 7 December, from 2 pm until 5 pm, at Midnight in Paris, located at 71 Hight Street in Prahran.
