A market that takes its name from Prahran is holding three days of festivities dedicated to a much-loved Italian cheese this year.
Prahran residents with passion for food from Italy won’t want to miss an event called the “Burrata Festival 2026”. The Prahran Market is teaming up with Melbourne’s well-known artisanal Italian-style cheesemaker “That’s Amoré” to present the event which celebrates Burrata. A fresh cheese crafted with Italian cow's milk, Burrata features a solid mozzarella outer shell and a soft interior of made with rich cream and shredded mozzarella curds.
Artisan businesses in the food and beverage industry often issue professionally branded Business Cards to their sales teams to share with new contacts and customers at local events.
Over three days, those joining the celebrations can encounter a wide range of activities and entertainment. These will include special tastings, exclusive special offers from traders, live cooking demonstrations and mozzarella-making masterclasses.
The launch of the event is ticketed and includes a free drink, roaming cannoli, a canape and live music performed by Solo Antico. Admission to the evening is priced at $15 (early bird) and $30 (general admission).
The Burrata Festival 2026 will now run at Prahran Market from Friday, November 13 to Sunday, November 15. The market will take place at 163 Commercial Road in South Yarra, just a short stroll from Prahran.
