A respected institution for circus skills in Prahran has been selected to host an event that assembles the leading aerial and pole athletes from across Australia to compete.
Residents looking for an opportunity to witness feats of skill and showmanship can attend the competition taking place in the suburb this year. Spring will see the Ignite Finals 2026 presented, which will involve students of aerial and pole performance conducting choreographed routines in front of judges, friends and family members.

The upcoming competition in Prahran will include students of every level ranging from elite and semi-professional to novice. A selection of categories is featured at the event including aerial hoop, trapeze and pole, to name but a few. Competitors at the two-date event will include top performing athletes who have progressed from local heats, including those from the under 16s Junior division.
The Ignite Finals 2026 will now run on Friday, October 2 at 6 pm (Pole Finals) and on Saturday, October 3 at 2 pm (Junior Finals) and 6 pm (Aerial Finals). The event will take place at National Institute of Circus Arts (NICA) in Prahran, which is sited at 39-59 Green Street in the suburb.
