Prahran to present dance showcase

A springtime event that will shine a spotlight on swing dancers is taking place at a versatile performance space in Prahran.

The Swing Patrol is continuing its grand tradition this year and holding its “Spring Swing Show” in the suburb. The community dedicated to swing is inviting dancers from across Melbourne to join the evening event, which promises energy, fun and a chance to dance to the best in swing music.

Community groups and associations often use branded Letterheads when communicating with their members and informing them of important events like annual showcases.

Those joining the gathering will find swing DJs providing a soundtrack for a social dance in the ballroom. During the evening, students enrolled in Swing Patrol classes, swing dance troupes and friends of the group will perform. Open to absolute beginners and expert dancers alike, the event also includes a swing dance class for those keen to learn some steps.

The Spring Swing Show will now take place on Saturday, September 12 on the Skydeck. The venue is based within the Space Dance and Arts Centre, which can be found at 318 Chapel Street in Prahran with the entrance on Carlton Street. Doors to the event open at 7.15 pm with the show starting at 8 pm.

A bar will be open for business, but attendees are also permitted to enter the event with water bottles to hydrate.
