A celebrated multi-arts venue in Prahran will present a musical based on a cult horror film about the living dead this autumn.
Fans of horror movies and musical theatre in Prahran will be doubly served later this year. The Stoddart Entertainment Group is presenting a matinee performance of “Evil Dead The Musical” which brings maverick director Sam Raimi’s gory 80s masterpiece to life on stage powered by a rock soundtrack.

Theatregoers coming down to the show will be treated to a blood-soaked story that creators call “hilariously gory”. Fans of the franchise that starred actor Bruce Campbell as “Ash” can see the retail clerk character return to rescue five college students with his trusty chainsaw after their staycation in a creepy cabin in the woods wakes the dead.
Especially for the event, the venue will be transformed into the haunted cabin putting audiences right in the middle of the action.
Evil Dead The Musical will now be performed live on stage at Chapel off Chapel on March 29. Curtains on the production will open at 1 pm and close at 3 pm. The multi-arts venue is based inside a former church and is sited at 12 Little Chapel Street in Prahran.
