Fans of Latin dance and the bachata in the Prahran area may be interested in purchasing tickets for the Bachata Corazon 7th Anniversary Weekender, enabling them to enjoy a weekend of classes, dancing and instruction.
In keeping with the dance’s iconic flamboyant style, colourful poster printing can be utilised to advertise to the local community.
Bachata refers to a partner dance that can be performed in an open or closed style, and has an exaggerated hip movement. It evolved in the 1990’s as a response to bachata music, which came originally from areas of the Dominican Republic. To date, there are various flavours of bachata, such as traditional, bachatango, fusion and sensual. It is ever popular, as couples come together to experience the enjoyment of dance, both in and out of hold.
At the Bachata Corazon 7th Anniversary Weekender, DJs such as DJ Sanch, DJ Woo and Mutati will be keeping the dance floor moving. The special guest will be Salem, the founder of Bachata Corazon, who will be teaching workshops and dancing alongside participants. As well as workshops and dance parties, the finale will involve an outdoor party to take place under the stars.
