Victorian history to come to life at Prahran library

History buffs in Prahran will soon have the chance to dive into the area's past. The Prahran Mechanics’ Institute (PMI) will bring together a number of local history and special interest groups for a one-day exhibition.

The event promises to cover a wide range of topics related to the community, including architecture, the history of various local industries, family history and community history.

Historians and experts from around the area will bring their expertise, resources and guidance to help attendees continue to pursue their own specific historical interest. Members from the PMI Victorian History Library, the State Library of Victoria, Scout Heritage Victoria, the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons Museum and Archives and the Victorian Railway History Library, as well as a number of groups dedicated to collecting and preserving the histories of local council areas, will be on site to introduce attendees to their organisations and the collections they protect.

Events like this one typically rely on poster printing services to spread the word. Displayed in public areas around library campuses and other areas of the community, these Posters usually feature important information about the event, including the location, date and time, and the Logo Design of participating organisations.

The Victorian History Showcase will take place at the PMI Victorian History Library from 10:30 AM until 3:30 PM on Saturday, 13 September.
