Joni Mitchell is one of the music industry’s best-loved singer songwriters. With an eclectic mix of influences, her almost-50-year song-writing career spans folk, classical, jazz and pop and is often driven by her feelings about being a woman. On 1st April this year, Mitchell was awarded MusiCares Person of the Year, and AllMusic has written of her:
“When the dust settles, Joni Mitchell may stand as the most important and influential recording artist of the late 20th century.”
