The free series, which is held in gardens and parts across Stonnington, will this year feature performances in Symphony, Broadway and Opera by artists including Rhonda Burchmore, The Jack Earle Big Band and Archie Roach.
Mayor of Stonnington, Steve Stefanopoulos said Artistic Directors of The Classics series should be congratulated for lining up such an exciting array of talent, adding:
“Taking place outdoors in Stonnington’s historic parks and gardens you’ll get the best of musical, orchestral and vocal talent in stunning surrounds.”
He said outstanding and enjoyable musical performances continued to be presented as part of The Classics series, which kicks off on February 1 at Prahran’s Victoria Gardens with a special classic opera performance of Puccini’s Tosca.
As part of the advertising campaigns for events such as this, organisers often use poster printing services to promote the performers expected to attend.
Rhonda Burchmore will star in The Classics Broadway performance at Malvern East’s Ardrie Park on February 15. Accompanied by the 16-piece Jack Earle Big Band jazz ensemble, Rhonda will pay tribute to some of the world’s great musicians and composers.
The final Classics performance ‘Symphony’ will feature lyrical and musical legend Archie Roach and the Stonnington Symphony Orchestra at Malvern Gardens on February 22.
