Prahran music fans are to be treated to the only club visit in the Melbourne area as Dundee electronic music superstar Hannah Laing plays one of her long-awaited shows.
Hannah Laing is noteworthy for her high energy shows, with flavours of trance and house. With the thrill of a live audience, Laing produces her best work as a musician and a DJ, hosting her own record label, Doof (reminiscent of the doof doof beat).
Laing’s passion for her music lies firmly rooted in her upbringing as she was surrounded by the trance and house music that was so loved by her parents. Additionally, influences include Paul Oakenfold and Roger Sanchez.
The audience for Laing’s output has grown larger. Starting in Ibiza at the tender age of eighteen, she has gone on to grace the stage and massive audiences at Creamfields and Glastonbury. It is not uncommon for her shows to sell out, particularly those in the UK. Laing has also more recently played in Ibiza again where she was the support for actor and DJ Idris Elba.
