A festival to celebrate all things cheese will be held this month.
The Prahran Market Say Cheese Festival will be a celebration of the tastes and aromas of different types of cheeses, as well as being a day of musical entertainment and family fun.
Guests will be able to sample savoury, sweet, warm and specialty cheeses, and exhibitors and traders will have stalls offering cheese tastings and plates as well as cheesy dishes such as Cacio e Pepe and Oozy Raclette.
The Neil Perry Kitchen will be holding live cooking sessions where some interesting cheese dishes will be prepared. Bars will be open during the day and there will be music to kick back with and enjoy. This and other upcoming events may be advertsied with banner printing.
Guest chefs will also be on hand offering a variety of tantalising recipes designed to inspire the budding culinary artist, and Chef Tobie Puttock will be the specialist MC on the day.
For those more adventurous, there will be the opportunity to participate in a Wildcard Competition for the possibility of winning a place working with Melbourne’s most creative cheese grillers in round two of Melbourne’s quintessential cheese-off, The Grilled Cheese Invitational.
The Festival will be held at the Prahram Market on Sunday, October 20 from 10:00 am. Entry is free.
