Residents of the Stonnington and Prahran areas can come along to a forum organised by Victoria Police Open Days, set up in order for locals to hear and understand more about initiatives and policing in the area.
The Stonnington PSA Neighbourhood Policing Forum welcomes all interested members of the community, both those from private households and businesses, as they are invited to come and listen to the panel and discuss with the local police the issues that affect all in the area.
Topics covered will include road policing, as well as the impact of crime on young people, both as victims and perpetrators. There will also be an overview of current crime trends and crime prevention measures currently being utilised in the community.
The session will be run by a Victoria Police panel and questions will be welcomed from the floor during and at the end of the event. Specific local matters that raise curiosity are often advertised by nearby printing services.
The Stonnington PSA Neighbourhood Policing Forum will take place on Thursday, 6 February, from 5.30 pm until 8.30 pm. The venue is the Prahran Town Hall, which can be found at 180 Greville Street in Prahran. The event is free to attend, but potential attendees should register online, as they will be asked for their ticket on entry. Refreshments will be offered.
