Prahran Square set to rock with Global Rhythms

A free event that features live music from around the nation is set to rock Prahran Square this month.

Beat-makers and contemporary music performers make up an impressive line-up of talent for the inaugural one-day Global Rhythms event, which will also featuring DJs and tantalising cuisine of businesses located within and in the vicinity of the Square.

Mayor of the City of Stonnington, Steve Stefanopoulos was excited the concert was being added to the city’s events calendar, and is to become an annual event, saying it provides a great example of the community inclusiveness and cultural vibrancy of Prahran Square, adding:

“It is exciting to see free events like this on the calendar for Prahran Square, as it is fast becoming an iconic cultural destination.”

Top artists set to perform at Global Rhythms include powerful vocalist Kira Puru, who has previously worked with the likes of Illy, Urthboy and Paul Kelly and recorded hit singles such as Molotov. Rising stars of hip hop Remi and boundary-pushing Alphamama are also included in the line-up along with DJ Soju Gang.

Community events such as this are often promoted in various ways from online listings and social media posts to poster and flyer printing campaigns.

While the music is pumping on March 14, there will also be no shortage of tasty treats available from the vast array of eateries that surround the Square.
