Prahran Square developer wins excellence award

Kane Constructions, the builder of Prahran Square, has been announced as the winner of the Excellence in Civil Construction Award.

It has been recently announced that the company was awarded first prize in the Excellence in Civil Construction category of the 2020 Master Builders of Victoria awards for its Prahan Square project, which was described by the City of Stonnington as the:

"Largest, most ambitious and exciting construction project to date."

The precinct has gone from strength to strength since its opening in December 2019. The corner location at Izzett and Chatham Streets has become increasingly popular with residents and visitors.

Kane Constructions included an underground parking complex for 500 vehicles in the development. Ample parking, combined with public transport options arriving and departing close to the square, means Prahran Square is easily accessible. Also included in the development is a visitor hub and the Prahran public library. Local businesses and organisations can use the new business development lounge for meetings, seminars and appointments.

The company also created nine distinct gardens and community spaces, along with transforming the old Cato Street car park. Prahran Square has added to an already impressive list of award-winning projects on Kane Construction’s resume. Companies that have successes like this can communicate their achievements on company Business Cards.

The City of Stonnington has congratulated Kane Constructions on the award, and said it is proud to be part of the development of Prahran Square.
