Prahran Market, one of Australia’s oldest fresh food markets is having its North East entrance redeveloped.
Looking to be completed halfway through 2019, the redeveloped market will be updated with a new landscaping plan and will open up a more suitable outdoor seating space with options for dining. It will also see the market get new toilet amenities.
With the closing of the entire north east entrance, businesses and cafes like Market Lane Coffee may face some inconvenience during this period of construction. Poster printing can be a useful tool to communicate that businesses will remain open through redevelopment projects like this.
Though construction can become a problem for businesses in any scenario, Prahran Markets have spent a lot of time planning the project and consulting with both customers and traders. Business will continue as usual throughout construction as only one entrance will be closed. It is noted that the opening hours will not change as the project progresses.
With the market being over 150 years old, this kind of construction is necessary and welcomed by all involved with these markets. Safety issues currently present will be resolved and the upgrades will make the Prahran Market experience much more enjoyable.
The project has already started to take place and is due to be completed in a couple of months’ time.
