Shoppers in Prahran, Victoria, are among many thousands of people to be enjoying innovative pieces of contemporary sculpture being displayed along sidewalks and in shop windows in nearby Toorak.
The works are part of the 2015 Toorak Village Sculpture Exhibition, which is held each year at the centre.
A City of Stonnington spokesman said the event brings together business and the arts in a unique cultural experience that reaches visitors from all walks of life.
Poster and catalogue printing has helped to bring the exhibition to the attention of shoppers, as well as to provide a list of sculptures on show and for sale.
The spokesman said outlets throughout the village were participating in the event by showcasing some of the works in their shop fronts, while other sculptures could be seen along the Toorak Road sidewalks in Toorak Village. These are larger pieces and bolted to the ground.
He said the sidewalk sculptures would complement five others purchased by businesses at Toorak Village from previous years.
He added the Toorak Village Traders mounted the exhibition, which was directed by Tony Fialides and offered a $5000 prize to the winner. It closes on June 14th.
The 2016 competition will kick off when entries open on October 1st this year. Entries must be received by February 1st, 2016 .
