Indie-dance music band to play in Prahran

An audience in the Prahran area that appreciates contemporary dance music may be pleased to learn that Raave Tapes will be playing in a local venue in August, in order to promote their first album.

Hailing from Newcastle in New South Wales, the duo Raave Tapes released its self-titled debut album in May of this year. The duo consists of Joab Eastley and Lindsay O’Connell.

The sound on the album is more dance oriented than previous releases. Influenced by the likes of Bloc Party and The Presets, the band used the services of producer Fletcher Matthews to produce the album, which, in their own words, is:
“made for the dance floor and holding your loved ones tight.”

Eastley also says of the release:
“The most integral themes of the album revolve around the interpersonal relationships we have with the people around us, to the nearest and dearest, as well as those who’ve become distant and not so dear.”

Promotional Products can be a popular way to advertise the upcoming shows of bands, as well as to be purchased on the night of the event. Items such as T-Shirts and tote Bags are often printed using the services of local Print shops.

Raave Tapes will be playing at the Revolver Upstairs club, which can be found at 229 Chapel Street, Prahran. The event will run from 7pm until 11pm, and it takes place on Friday, 9 August. Tickets cost from $21.42.
